Members
You will find love, understanding, and hope in the Nar-Anon Family Group.
You are not alone.
People in the group may be experiencing, in varying degrees, the same hurt, anger, and anxieties you may be feeling.
We find people in Nar-Anon who understand what we are going through and are ready to share their experience, strength, and hope to help us.
The Serenity Connection is a quarterly newsletter of the Nar-Anon Family Groups. It's considered "Conference Approved Literature" (CAL), therefore you may use its content in your groups for literature study.
You can subscribe via email and view past digital editions on the WSO website.
Our Service Structure
Our Nar-Anon groups are part of the wider Nar-Anon fellowship through the Global Online Region (GOR), one of the official Nar-Anon regions connected to the Nar-Anon World Service Office (WSO), the international service body that supports and helps guide the Nar-Anon program worldwide.
Being connected to the Global Online Region means our meetings are recognised Nar-Anon meetings that follow the Twelve Traditions and Twelve Steps of Nar-Anon. It also means we are part of a worldwide fellowship of families and friends affected by addiction, offering shared experience, strength, and hope across countries, cultures, and time zones.
The World Service Office helps provide literature, guidance, structure, and support to Nar-Anon groups internationally, while the Global Online Region focuses specifically on supporting online meetings and online service work. Together, this helps ensure that Nar-Anon remains united, accessible, and available to anyone seeking help and recovery.
Nar-Anon also has service guidelines at both the local and world service levels, helping groups stay connected while still remaining autonomous in their day-to-day functioning. These guidelines provide a framework for trusted service, communication, decision-making, and carrying the message of recovery in a consistent and supportive way.
For members who wish to become more involved, there are opportunities to serve beyond the group level. Members may choose to participate in service within the Global Online Region through committees, projects, and regional discussions, or become involved in World Service Office committees that help support the fellowship internationally. Service is an important part of recovery for many members, offering connection, purpose, and the opportunity to give back what has been freely given to us.
For our Nar-Anon groups, this means we are not operating alone. We are part of something much bigger — a global recovery community built on service, connection, and mutual support.
Most importantly, it means that when someone joins one of our meetings, they are stepping into a worldwide recovery family where they never have to face the effects of addiction alone.
